Upon my arrival, the first task on my agenda was to find out which book was in vogue. Sadly, it took me the better part of a week to tame the beast. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for an invigorating introduction to the subject. I'm a sucker for a good laugh, and have been known to make an exception for some of the best people around.

John McPhee's Annals of a Former World
